While working at Joyner Construction, the 43rd Street Deli project involved a total transformation of a preexisting building into a fully operational and modern restaurant. This ambitious endeavor required a complete gutting of the original structure, clearing the way for a fresh start. One of the unique challenges of the project was the removal of an old train caboose that had been a longstanding feature of the property and a popular photo opportunity. Once removed, we focused on reimagining the space to meet the needs of the new restaurant.

Spanning 5,250 square feet, the building was entirely remodeled to create a functional and inviting environment for diners and staff alike. Every detail, from the kitchen layout to the dining area design, was carefully planned and executed to ensure the restaurant's long-term success. The work included modernizing utilities, upgrading structural elements, and incorporating finishes that aligned with the restaurant’s aesthetic and operational goals.

Despite the complexity of the remodel, the project was completed in just five months. Today, the 43rd Street Deli stands as a testament to our ability to take an aging structure and transform it into a vibrant, fully operational business that continues to serve the community.
